International House was constructed in the 1990s in hopes of replacing the Palmer Apartments. The Palmer Apartments were being remodeled into office spaces and later renamed the Palmer Center. (Cranmer 2019) In 1994, International House opened their doors. The current lobby space was an addition to the building in 2010. The additional 1,800 square-feet allows for larger gatherings throughout the year, as it is intended to hold up to 300 people. This project was estimated to cost $30,000 to complete. (CSU 2014) Thanks to this expansion, it has provided a space for studying, programs, and brining the community together. 😊
