Thank-A-Teacher Week

March 30 - April 3

Celebrate the instructors who make a difference at Colorado State University during Thank-a-Teacher Week! Open to all undergraduate students, this campus-wide initiative invites you to share a quick note of appreciation for faculty and instructors who have supported your learning. Taking a moment to say "thank you" helps strengthen the positive, supportive learning community that makes CSU special.

Explore Graduate School Worldwide brings together international universities, fellowships, and global research programs in one place. This event is especially great for juniors and seniors, but all students are welcome to stop by, ask questions, and discover opportunities you may not have considered. Whether you already have plans or are just exploring, it’s an easy, low-pressure way to see where a global graduate experience could take you.

World Unity Fair is back and bigger than ever!

Join the Office of International Programs and the Council of International Student Affairs as we host the 70^th annual World Unity Fair on Saturday, April 4, from 5-9 p.m. in the Lory Student Center. This year we are expanding across multiple ballrooms and classrooms in the LSC to create an even larger, more spacious celebration for attendees to enjoy.

World Unity Fair is a longstanding CSU tradition and international festival that brings together more than 50 cultures from the CSU and Fort Collins communities. Experience a vibrant evening of cultural traditions, games, food, fashion, music, and performances from around the world.

The event is free to attend and open to the public. More than 25 international food and beverage options will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting participating clubs. An international bazaar will give attendees the chance to purchase unique items from across the globe. Explore the event website to browse the interactive map and learn more about the groups represented. You can also view the food and beverage menu, preorder food tickets, or purchase the event cookbook in advance.

World Unity Fair is co-sponsored by the Associated Students of Colorado State University and the Fort Collins International Center. For more information, please visit col.st/worldfair or email Bronwen.watts@colostate.edu.

April is Earth Month, a time to celebrate the planet and reflect on how our everyday choices impact the environment. Earth Month grew out of the first Earth Day in 1970, when millions came together to raise awareness about environmental protection.

Today, Earth Month is an an opportunity to engage in environmental education, activism, and community events supporting sustainability.

Whether you attend a campus event, try a new sustainable habit, or participate in a community clean-up, there are plenty of ways to celebrate in Fort Collins!

Trash bags are for Trash only!

Did you know it matters how you store and transport your waste? When plastic trash bags are used to hold your recyclables and compost, that bag contaminates the waste stream shown in the photo below. If contamination happens, entire bins of recycling and compost must be thrown out.

Go zero waste today by selecting ReusePass in the Grubhub app to get your next to-go order served in a reusable container! Reuse Pass is a container rent-and-return program available at Durrell, RAMwich, and Pitkin St. Eatery. Opt in for a sustainable, reusable container for your next meal and save a single-use to-go box from the landfill! After use, the containers may be dropped off for cleaning at any designated drop boxes.

Why choose ReUse Pass?

The ReUse Pass program helps to reduce waste, water and emissions on campus by reducing the number of take-out containers used by residents at the dining commons. Below are some statistics on the impact the ReUse program has had on CSU’s campus since its inception in Spring 2023.

Impact

• 142,308 gallons of water saved
• 20,594 tons of waste diverted
• 148,232 lbs of GHG emissions saved
• 223,362 containers saved

The Fort Collins Winter Farmers Market (WFM) is Northern Colorado’s destination for fresh, local food and handmade goods throughout the colder months. More than a market, it is a vibrant community hub where families, neighbors, and friends come together to shop, connect, and celebrate the best of our region. From farm-fresh produce to one-of-a-kind artisan crafts, our indoor market at Foothills Mall makes it easy to enjoy local flavors and support small businesses—all winter long.
