Eat Well @ CSU is your on-campus source for the nutrition information you need to eat well in the dining centers on campus, when out to eat with friends, and even when cooking in your residence hall. Every month we'll cover a different nutrition topic, tell you how to implement it with your meal plan, and even provide residence hall-friendly recipes you can make yourself. First up for September - Whole Grains!

The Fall 2021 Eco Actions Campaign began on September 12! Pledge to engage in sustainable behavior choices for the opportunity to plant trees, receive prizes and reduce your overall carbon footprint!

This past year we had more than 900 residents participate in the campaign during the 6 week period...that's 1 out of every 6 on-campus residents pledging to live more sustainably.

Talk with your RA

September 13 - October 17

[This is a great thing!] The results from your survey are shared with your RA, who will set up a meeting with you.

The meeting will be an opportunity to reflect on your experience at CSU, receive information about

campus and community resources, and voice any questions or concerns you might have.

Have you not taken the Taking Stock survey yet? No worries, access the survey at this link.

The numerous support programs on campus can sometimes feel overwhelming to students, making it difficult to figure out where to start. It is no surprise that by the end of the first four weeks on campus, students may feel at a loss trying to find resources to support academic success. The Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT), in partnership with the Collaborative for Student Achievement and University Housing, offers a program every semester to address this exact issue. It’s called U-Turn.

U-Turn is an opportunity for students to meet individually with a CSU staff member to talk about their experience at CSU, develop academic goals, and create an action plan for a successful semesterAfter creating an action plan, students have the opportunity to meet with CSU resources and offices right at U-Turn. These resources range from campus tutoring centers, to the Health Network and the Office of Financial Aid.

As we begin a new school year, involvement on campus is more important than ever. Involved students have the opportunity to find community, engage around shared interests or identities, build friendships, and learn skills outside of the classroom.

So, Do Something. Find ways to be engaged, build relationships, and enhance your CSU experience.

Social Justice & Inclusion

We are very excited to announce that the optional Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Module is now available for all students to access on RamWeb (click on the Diversity and Inclusion link in the menu to access the module and related resources).

The module uses short videos, what-would-you-do scenarios and reflections to introduce you to a variety of terms, concepts and dynamics to create a respectful, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone at CSU. Completing the module takes about 40 minutes and provides foundational background knowledge about identity, bias and bystander actions for all students in the CSU community.

Rams Read

Rams Read is CSU's Common Read program, encouraging faculty, staff, students at entry level, and our wider community to read together and discuss what we've read in engaging ways.

This year's book selection is Natasha Bowen-Blair's The Color of Food: Stories of Race, Resilience, and FarmingIt explores ways we can cultivate new ideas about food justice, land, bringing people together, and joining in a conversation about race and identity, both locally and around the world.
