CSU Move Out: Give Your Items a Second Life

CSU Move Out: Give Your Items a Second Life

As the end of the semester approaches, we are preparing for another CSU Move Out donation and diversion effort. Each year, thousands of pounds of usable items are discarded as students transition out of campus housing. Through CSU Move Out students can donate gently used items instead of sending them to the landfill.

Donation stations will be located near residence halls where students can drop off gently used items they no longer need. Collected items are redistributed through local community partners so they can continue to be used within the Fort Collins community rather than ending up in the trash. CSU Move Out would not be possible without the support of our community partners.

This year, we have partnered with ChairTableHome, Crossroads Safehouse, Goodwill of Colorado, Homeward Alliance, Rams Against Hunger, and The Salvation Army of Fort Collins.

Donation Station Hours

Wednesday, May 13th & Thursday, May 14th: 10am-5pm

Friday, May 15th: 8am-10am

Accepted Items

Donation stations will be accepting small furniture, functioning appliances, clothing, towels and linens, school and household supplies, and bicycles. Unopened, non-perishable food and unopened toiletries can be placed in the designated bins in the lobby of each residence hall.

Please only donate clean, usable items in good condition. If you are unsure whether an item can be donated, volunteers at the stations will be available to help answer questions.
