Zero Waste Game

It’s that time of the year again: Eco Leaders are out and about with trash sorting education! The Zero Waste Game is all about getting students to learn more about how they can properly sort their waste, recyclables, and compost! Through this interactive drag and drop game, you can challenge your friends to sort your waste correctly. This online game can be played with an Eco Leader, or it can be done remotely.

Get Involved:

Find your Eco Leaders campaigning at most residence halls and dining halls. You can expect a metal straw for participating in the game, which is a perfect zero waste substitute that’s portable and easy to clean! If you can’t make it, don’t worry! You can still get involved and play the game here: http://zerowastegame.colostate.edu/

Make a Difference:

Take this education into real life by sorting your trash properly! On campus, there are several locations for proper trash sorting. Keep in mind that the black or green trash cans are for trash, the blue for recycling, and the brown are for composting! Do your part to sort what you can, but if you are ever unsure of what goes where, think “when in doubt, throw it out!”. We love to see people taking the initiative to keep our campus clean, especially our composting! Thank you for taking care of our environment, and keep up those zero waste initiatives!
